All We Can is engaged in global education to inform, challenge and motivate people to take a stance against poverty and injustice.
We aim to increase understanding of the causes of poverty and build people’s confidence and effectiveness in bringing about change.
Recently we have changed our approach to advocacy and placed a far greater emphasis on being active on issues that are specifically relevant to the local people, partners and communities we seek to serve around the world. Our advocacy work is driven by the needs and expressed aspirations of these communities. We seek to help the local organisations we work with to influence policy around key issues that directly affect the quality of life of some of the world’s most vulnerable people. This reflects our approach to development: Working with local people to find local solutions.
We believe that it is essential to resource whole communities, smaller groups and individuals to do all they can as global citizens to be aware that they can make a tangible difference in our world. We are redeveloping our approach to education to ensure we have a broad focus of engaging the wider public in development and how the way we live our lives affects and is effected by the lives of our global neighbours in poorer communities.
We are committed to the Sustainable Development Goals and to helping people in the UK understand the challenge they present for every country and community to create a more sustainable world. This will become an increasing thread to our public engagement and education in the days to come.
